About the Editor
Dr Miltiadis D. Lytras is a visiting researcher at Effat University. Dr Lytras is a world-class expert in the fields of cognitive computing, information systems, technology-enabled innovation, social networks, computers in human behavior, and knowledge management. He is an expert in advanced computer science and management, editor, lecturer, and research consultant, with extensive experience in academia and the business sector in Europe and Asia. He served as the Editor in Chief of the International Journal in Semantic Web and Information Systems. About the Contributors
Dr Sarah A. Alajlan is PharmD with Pharma background. Dr Alajlan is passionate about Leadership and Research. Dr Alajlan became a published researcher in the field of social and behaviors, pharma, and education; she managed to publish her first research in one of the most prestigious journals of the field as a second author. Moreover, she, as well, progressively publishes articles in social and behaviors, with currently more than four accepted manuscripts at one of the most prestigious journals of the field.
Dr Tahani Aldosemani is an Associate Professor of Educational Technology at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University and a former Vice Dean of Information Technology and Distance Education at the same university. She has a PhD in Educational Technology from the University of Wyoming, USA, and she is a member of multiple international educational technology associations. Dr Tahani has received several international awards and recognitions in E-learning and educational research and has multiple publications in Educational Technology topics and issues. She implemented many successful initiatives in education presented at different conferences, seminars, and workshops. She worked as a senior consultant at the Saudi Ministry of Education and served as co-chair for the G20 2020 Education group. Dr Tahani is currently a senior consultant for Education and Training Evaluation Commission for the National Skills Projects.
Bader Alfelaij is a researcher at Ministry of Education, Kuwait. Being a Researcher, lecturer, and human development trainer, he is interested in mobile learning, e-learning, flipped classrooms, and virtual reality. He holds a PhD in Education Technology from the University of Exeter, UK. He has published several specialized research papers and a flipped classroom book.
Abdulwahab Alfeleej is a teacher and researcher at the Ministry of Education, Kuwait. He holds a Master’s degree in English Linguistics.
Talah O. Almaddah is a sixth year student, college of medicine at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She is a research enthusiast, working as a volunteer research assistant at Saudi National Institute of Health, since March 2022 until current and previously as a volunteer research assistant in the Research and Devolvement Department at Saudi Commission For Health Specialties for one year, in 2021.
Dr Eman Al Mutairi is an experienced academic affairs manager with a PhD from Chapman University and an MEd. from the University of San Diego. She has worked in various educational institutions, including, as Acting Manager for Research Department at the Health Academy of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialist and as an Adjunct Professor. With her leadership and communication skills, Dr Almutairi aims to develop and execute academic policies and procedures, manage academic budgets, and collaborate with stakeholders to create innovative academic programs. Her primary goal is to ensure academic programs meet the needs of all stakeholders, including learners, faculty, and other parties involved.
Dr Basim S. Alsaywid is a Pediatric Urology Surgeon with extensive clinical experience and research output. He is serving as the Education and Research Skills Director at the Saudi National Institute of Health. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Research and Development Department at the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) within the Planning and Organizational Excellence Administration division of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Other affiliations related to his professional and educational practice include Consultant Pediatric urologist at King Abdulaziz Medical City, Ministry of National Guard, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and the Chairman of research office at College of Medicine, King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Ministry of National Guard, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Sandra Baroudi is an expert in leadership and management in education. She is a certified associate for the Blackboard academy and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Dr Baroudi provides mentorship and training for pre- and in-service teachers in the UAE. She led the contextualization of the teaching and learning toolkit in collaboration with Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) in London and Queen Rania Foundation (QRF) in Amman. Dr Baroudi was the Assistant Dean for student affairs at the college of education at Zayed university and is currently an Assistant Professor in the college of Interdisciplinary Studies. She is also a founding partner of Eduvate a professional development training institute. Her work explores the leadership and management in education, teacher education and professional development, technology integration in classroom, and development of female leadership in the MENA region. Dr Baroudi is a reviewer of high index Scopus international journals, a presenter at national and international conferences, and her work is published internationally in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr Areej Elsayary is an expert in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM), curriculum design and development, teaching and learning, assessment, and schools accreditation. She is also a certified associate for the Blackboard academy, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), an Editor, and a researcher. She is also an Approved Accreditation Lead Inspectors from New England Association of School and Colleges (NEASC) and Council of International School (CIS). She was the Graduate Program Coordinator in the College of Education at Zayed University and is currently an Assistant Professor in the College of Interdisciplinary Studies. Her research interests include the cognitive development, Interdisciplinary STE(A)M curriculum, and assessment. She has published her work internationally and has presented papers at conferences. Dr Areej has also conducted several teacher training programs across the United Arab Emirates. Currently, she has an active research agenda and collaborates internationally on creative research projects.
Dr Lames Abdul Hadi is a Higher Education Inspector at the Ministry of Education in the UAE and a certified accreditation evaluator from the Council of International Schools (CIS). She is an experienced Assessment Consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the educational leadership field. She worked as a Deputy Director General, Director of Assessment, and Consultant at Al Arabia for Education that has a chain of schools across the United Arab Emirates. Dr Lames completed her PhD in Educational Management, Leadership and Policy. She had a master’s degree in science education with focus on Metacognitive Awareness in Math and Science Education. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in pure mathematics and computer science. Lames has more than 16 years of experience in K-12 and higher education. The recent nine years of her experience involves work on CIS team as an evaluator and CIS-ACE accreditation preparation, higher and vocational education, and school inspection, strategic planning, school self-evaluation, and development plan along with assessment framework development and data analysis. Before that, she taught high school and university level mathematics and computer science. Ms Lames works involved teacher development, STEAM, educational technology and school improvement programs. She has published studies on math and science education, metacognition, data-driven decision, and assessment framework development.
Malakeh Itani, Dar Al Hekma University, Saudi Arabia. Dr Itani holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics. She has more than 20 years of experience in teaching, mentoring, and coordinating. Moreover, she Chaired the quality assurance office, the examination committee, the curriculum committee, and the Research Center at Dar A-Hekma University. In addition, she is a certified corporate trainer, a certified strategy professional, and a freelance writer at a chain of international schools. She has presented a number of papers at international conferences and published a number of research papers in the field of education. She is a winner of the Award for Distinguished Academic Performance (2021) and the translator of a best seller book.
Dr Fareeha Javed holds PhD and Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning from Massey University, New Zealand, Masters in English from Punjab University (Lahore College for Women) and Masters in Educational Planning and Management from Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad. She is currently working as an Associate Professor. Dr Javed's research interests include first year experience, student engagement, teaching and learning of second/foreign language, psycholinguistics, language policy, TESOL leadership and management, preparedness for university, curriculum development, assessment and evaluation, and blended learning.
Jacobo Gonzalez Leon is a PhD Student, Designer of automatic learning methods for generating knowledge through multidimensional, niche data analysis. He is currently focused on developing and deploying neural architectures as web services on the web3 using tools such as decentralized networks, digital certificates, and the metaverse.
Dr Felix Mata, UPIITA-IPN, México. He is a Professor researcher in UPIITA-IPN and SEPI-UPIITA. He is a Member of the National System of Researchers (Level 1). Felix Mata has a PhD in Computer Science, and he has directed over 10 research projects and published over 60 international and national articles. He has produced around 80 undergraduate theses. His current areas of interest include Telematics, IA, and GIS.
Halah Nasseif is an Assistant Professor at the Business Analytics and Management Information System Department at the University of Business & Technology, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She is a certified Data Scientist. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Portland State University, Portland, Oregon, USA. Her Master’s degree is in Information Technology from Virginia Tech, USA. She has earned her PhD in E-Research and Technology Enhanced Learning from Lancaster University, UK. Her research interests and publication include researching Saudi Arabian higher education, technology-enhanced learning, e-learning utilization, learning analytics, educational data mining, artificial intelligence and networked learning.
Rolando Quintero was born in Mexico City in 1975. He obtained a PhD in Computer Science from the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico. He is a researcher at the Center for Computing Research of the IPN. He is the author of more than 100 scientific papers in conferences and journals. He is a member of the National System of Researchers, SNI Level 1, from the Mexican Council of Science and Technology (CONACyT). He has conducted basic research projects and technological development with national institutions. He has directed about 20 graduate theses in his areas of interest, including knowledge representation and processing of semantic information.
Ana Luísa Rodrigues is an expert in teacher education and ICT in education. She studies pre-service and in-service teacher education, digital technology integration, active learning, experiential learning, entrepreneurship education, and economics and accounting education. She is an Assistant Professor and researcher at the Institute of Education, University of Lisbon, where she teaches at undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels and has participated in various research projects. She has several peer-reviewed publications and is editor and reviewer for international journals.
Dr Lamia Saud Shesha holds a Doctorate in Economics from Howard University, United States. She holds an authoritative position at King Abdulaziz University as the Head of the Business Administration Department. Throughout her career, she has been an outstanding academician with an enthusiastic performance in research. Her research primarily focuses on theoretical and practical advances in the field of Economics.
Miguel Torres-Ruiz is a Professor of The Intelligent Processing of Geospatial Data Laboratory at the Centro de Investigación en Computación, IPN. He received his PhD in Computer Science in 2007. He obtained the Mexican Research Award in 2006. In 2014, he received an Honorific Mention in the National Civil Protection Award from the President of Mexico. His research scope focuses on developing approaches to conceptualizing geographic domains, intelligent GIS design, and urban computing. Particularly his interests are aligned with Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
Prof Nadia Yusuf has a Doctorate in Economics, and her major is Microeconomics. Her thesis was based on the role of the lead bank in financing the agricultural sector in India, with reference to the Aligarh District. She is presently working as a Professor in Economics Department at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Her research interests are Economics, Finance, Banking, Sustainable development, Education, Socioeconomics, and Entertainment. The most recent publication was about the Economic role of population density during pandemics.
Roberto Zagal received Doctorate in Advanced Technology from the Interdisciplinary Professional Unit in Engineering and Advanced Technologies of the National Polytechnic Institute (UPIITA-IPN), Master's degree in Computer Science at the Research Center in Computing (CIC-IPN). He is a Computer Systems Engineer from the Escuela Superior de Cómputo (ESCOM-IPN). He has been a consultant in systems in the private industry and government systems, developing projects with Motorola and Honeywell de México, the Ministry of Energy, and the Government of Mexico City. In addition, Roberto Zagal has been an associate researcher in CONACYT projects on data analysis for crime, respiratory diseases, and air pollution. He currently works as a research Professor at ESCOM-IPN and is a candidate researcher in the National System of Researchers.
