Uni-Grip and Uni-Clamp match up with modular framing elements

Article Type: Mini features From: Industrial Robot: An International Journal, Volume 38, Issue 3

SAS automation has introduced their Uni-Grip and Uni-Clamp robotic gripper tooling. The Uni-Grip system allows the user to create custom gripper configurations that quickly integrate with many brands of modular framing elements.

No longer must channel nuts be inserted into the modular elements to connect the gripper. The Uni-Gripper components have the ability to mount into the extruded nut channels found on different brands of modular framing elements. It makes it quick and easy to modify the gripper system reducing machine down time.

The system is ideal for injection molding applications where a robot arm is tending the molding machine. Each mold change requires a change in gripper configuration. The Uni-Grip system reduces down time for change over.
