Design/methodology/approach – Discusses the role that talent management plays in retaining and motivating employees Sets out the practices associated with the talent management strategy (360 degree evaluation) and discusses how SAP technology supports them. Indicates other human resource practices that rely on SAP software. Findings – Underlines the extent to which SAP’s competitive advantage rests on retaining the skills and knowledge of its employees and the contribution that SAP software makes to this.
