The European Institute for eLearning (EifEL) has launched a Web site, at www.eife-l.org, which aims to become the reference point for e-learning professionals in Europe. The home page is available in both French and English and it is easy to navigate through the seven main areas: the welcome page; information about the organisation; a list of services; membership details; an outline of professional development activities; the institute's constitution; and, finally, brief biographies of the EifEL's management team. The two most interesting sections (not the vanity publishing elements!) are the services and professional development areas. The services page contains details of information resources including a weekly electronic newsletter, and a list of relevant exhibitions, conferences and regional seminars, along with research information. The complementary professional development page describes ways in which the organisation supports the development of its members via learning events and conferences.
