Editorial

This edition of the journal emphasizes the importance of continual team development, modification in teams as required throughout the life of the team, and keeping a continual eye on the environment to assure that membership, involvement and the team’s ability to respond to uncertainty are carefully designed. Each author discusses the importance of cooperation, vision, leadership and task supervision as elements to successful tasking for any team, including those of new product development teams tasked with innovation.

The work of these authors identifies important elements of successful team work, continuing our contributions to teaming research and the accompanying body of literature. Team practitioners, researchers and those who keep close to the literature will enjoy this edition’s contributions to their knowledge of teaming issues and subsequent remedies and ideas for action.

Be certain to take a look at our Success Stories area… These practice oriented examples of teaming are intended to drive home action-learning episodes for those of you who wish to grasp ideas for improvements in your organizations.

My very best regards,

Linda Suzanne Wing
