AAT launches revolutionary Hydrojet in-line cleaning system

Keywords AAT, Cleaning, Drying

The most significant advances in cleaning and drying technology in more than two decades were recently recognized when Austin American Technology Corp. (AAT) received a coveted Vision Award for their revolutionary Hydrojet In-Line cleaning system with patent-pending flow dynamics technology. The Hydrojet In-Line was awarded the coveted Vision Award in its category - "Best New Product - Cleaning Equipment" for electronics assembly. The award was presented at a special ceremony at the APEX Conference and Exhibition in Long Beach, California on 13 March 2000. The Vision Awards competition recognizes significant advances in electronics packaging, materials, and assembly technology. Receiving the award for AAT were William Murphy, president, Jon R. Phelps, sales/marketing manager and David Jeffers, technical service manager.

The Hydrojet In-Line was chosen to receive the award based upon its qualifications in the areas of innovativeness, cost effectiveness, speed/throughput improvements, its quality contribution, ease of use, maintainability and repairability, and environmental friendliness. In order to receive the award, the Hydrojet In-Line had to excel in these areas over competitive entries.

Revolutionary patent-pending flow dynamics technology gives AAT's Hydrojet In-Line cleaning system tremendous drying power - 14 feet per minute in the Mach III configuration. Available in Mach I, II or III drying models, the Hydrojet In-Line's drying chamber essentially offers three different drying speeds, up to 10ft min. on densely populated assemblies - without adding to the system's footprint. The ability to add drying capability without increasing footprint size means that the system can be upgraded to meet a company's growing throughput demands, keeping up with ever-faster cleaning speeds that the unit is already capable of, without costly upgrades or add-on modules that take up additional floor space. With the state-of-the art Hydrojet In-Line, the toughest cleaning applications can be accomplished in half the footprint and twice the speed of other in-line cleaners.
