French screen and stencil manufacturer, GS Technologies of Lyon, has been acquired by DEK Printing Machines Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
The company, which will be called DEK-GST, becomes part of DEK's Precision Screen Division (DEK PSD) headed by general manager Martin Wyeth. This acquisition further consolidates DEK PSD's leading position in the European market, complementing DEK's machine sales and service organisation.
From DEK PSD's three European manufacturing sites it offers a comprehensive range of screens and stencils for surface mount, hybrid and associated applications, including laser cut, chemical etched and metal additive stencils together with PumpPrint screens for adhesive applications.
GST is a leading supplier of stencils and screens to the French and European electronics industry. Over the last 12 months it has successfully introduced DEK's Vector and MicroMount technology to its customers in France.
Commenting, Martin Wyeth paid tribute to the quality of product and the outstanding reputation GST have for service. He expressed his expectation that, as part of DEK, DEK-GST would be in an even stronger position to meet the needs of customers in the future.
