RICS is consulting members on the development of an enhanced regulatory scheme for valuation. The proposed scheme will ensure the RICS qualification continues to remain the global market leader with the introduction of an accreditation programme for individual valuers and a risk weighted Red Book compliance monitoring programme.
This would apply to all valuations which are produced by members in accordance with RICS Valuation Standards and would be mandatory for all RICS valuers from April 2010.
