Food and supplement manufacturers and buyers can now obtain Baobab, the nutrient-rich exotic fruit from Southern Africa in a new fruit extract format. Being launched at Health Ingredients Europe and Natural Ingredients, this latest super food is now even more versatile and can be blended with a wider range of products.

Baobab has extremely high-nutritional qualities that outweigh other foods on almost every level including twice as much calcium as milk, more magnesium than spinach and twice as many antioxidants as Goji berries. In addition to its extraordinary high levels of key nutrients, it acts as a flavour enhancer, so another benefit is that less sugar can be used in products. Its unique tangy taste is described as “caramel pear with subtle tones of grapefruit”.
