Cinnachrome - a blood sugar balance breakthrough

Cinnachrome – a blood sugar balance breakthrough

A new supplement containing a simple spice and mineral combination may be the solution to unstable blood sugar implicated in insulin resistance (an early warning of type 2 diabetes).

A recent review of 15 controlled trials confirms that supplementing chromium at ten times the average daily intake helps normalise blood sugar and reduce insulin resistance (i). Insulin is the hormone that regulates blood sugar and chromium is essential for the insulin receptor to work.

Evidence suggests that just 200mcg of chromium per day is enough to significantly stabilise blood sugar (although 400-500mcg per day is recommended for diabetics), and there is even evidence that it may prevent diabetes in those at risk (overweight and with a family history.

Chromium has also been shown to help those with atypical depression symptoms of which are:

  • Do you crave sweets or other carbohydrates or tend to gain weight?

  • Are you tired for no obvious reason, or do your arms and legs feel heavy?

  • Do you tend to feel sleepy or groggy much of the time?

  • Are your feelings easily hurt by rejection from others?

  • Did your depression begin before the age of thirty?

  • Instead of sugar, the spice cinnamon is proving to help keep blood sugar in balance.

Studies have shown that just 1g of cinnamon per day (1/2 a teaspoon) is enough to lower blood glucose and levels of bad cholesterol in type 2 diabetics, with some volunteers even achieving normal blood sugar levels. In addition to this, significant decreases in body fat percentage have been noted in pre-diabetic men consuming just half a gram of a cinnamon extract called Cinnulin per day.

A new supplement called CINNACHROME, combines high potency chromium polynicotinate, the natural form of chromium that provides two major ingredients of the glucose tolerance factor, chromium and niacin (nicotinic acid or vitamin B3) with Cinnulin.

One to three capsules a day are recommended, in conjunction with a low Glycemic Load (GL) diet. The combination of a low GL diet, with chromium and cinnamon provides perfect support for those with diabetes and blood sugar concerns.
