The phenomenon of fast fashion has been widely, if anecdotally, explored. However, the extent to which academic research has addressed the theoretical and practical issues, is somewhat underdeveloped.

This special issue attempts to redress the balance. Papers are invited in the following areas, but not necessarily restricted to these subjects:

  • Supply chain management;

  • Agile supply chains;

  • Flexible manufacturing;

  • Cellular manufacturing;

  • Retail operations/marketing;

  • Marketing communications management;

  • Sourcing strategies;

  • Ethical issues.

Expressions of interest should be sent in by December 2005 and final papers by February 2006. All papers to be submitted to Deirdre Berriman, Journal Administrator, by e-mail: d.berriman@mmu.ac.uk
