Westminster appointment of ITC president

On expiration of his three-year period as vice-chairman, Professor H. Peter Jost CBE, Chairman of K.S. Paul Products Limited, has been appointed a vice-president of the Parliamentary and Scientific Committee at Westminster. He also remains the P&SC's representative on the Foreign and Commonwealth Consultative Group on Science and Technology.

Dr Jost is chairman of K.S. Paul Products Ltd, one of the world's leading hi-tech companies in solid lubricants and coatings. He is a world authority in this field. He has been honoured with four state distinctions, two honorary professorships and six honorary doctorates, as well as professional awards from 13 countries, including the John Colclough Medal of the Institute of Materials.

In 1988 K.S.Paul received the coveted Queen's Award for Technological Achievement, the first company to do so for a lubricating material since the award's inception in 1967.
