National CRM

The official launch of the UK Government National CRM (customer relationship management) Programme recently took place. One hundred and eighty local authority delegates from around the UK attended the meeting.

The purpose of the launch was to introduce local authorities to the different aspects of the National CRM Programme and to describe how to apply for some of the £1.5 million now available to pilot the product elements as they are developed.

The ODPM (Office of the Deputy Prime Minister) regards CRM as a critical component in modernising local government to assist councils in becoming customer centric and has approved £4.5 million to fund the National CRM Programme in order to encourage as many councils as possible to transform their services through the use of CRM.
