Information-technology services company ICL has signed a £300,000 contract with CollegeNet.UK, a consortium of 11 of the UK's largest further-education colleges, to deliver its CyberSkills programme to small and medium-size firms. Initially funded by the Department of Employment, the workshops are designed to rise the awareness of individuals and organizations to the potential of new information and communication technologies in a context relevant to their work and lives. The online service offers participants ICL's distance-learning programmes, along with access to tutors, chat sessions, continuous assessment and feedback.
