Abstract

The German Society of Nutrition has two main objectives. Firstly, to collect the findings of all disciplines in the field of nutrition, to co‐ordinate and evaluate this material in order to make recommendations, and to prepare scientific knowledge which is to be passed on to the general public. Secondly, to contribute to the health and well being of the people by educating them and advising them on the importance of good nutrition, both theoretically and practically.
