Building on bubbles

Abstract

Talking a lot of hot air about something which has very little substance and has been around for a long time anyway doesn't sound the most promising way to promote a product. But that, basically, is what such chemical giants as ICI, Bayer and Union Carbide are doing with plastic foam.
