Driving force: Key to strategy

Abstract
The corporate planner needs a foundation from which to coordinate short and long range planning operations. This foundation is the organization's statement of strategy. Underlying the strategy, an organization must still have a unifying concept. We call this theme the driving force, and we have found that it propels every strategic program.
