THE RESOURCES OF THE LEEDS PUBLIC LIBRARIES FOR THE STUDY OF COMMERCE, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
Abstract
There may be some surprise occasioned by the fact that a reference librarian, whose primary interests are not either technical or commercial, should be speaking to a body of people whose professional activities are generally in these particular fields. But there may be good reasons why the non‐specialist should seek to describe the services available for the specialist. It may serve to emphasize the fact that, in a way, knowledge is indivisible—no fact can exist in a vacuum.
