Abstract

CMI (Europe) has introduced a new version of its PTX hand‐held gauge for measuring plated through‐hole copper thickness of printed circuit boards prior to etch which can now also measure etched boards. Scrap and costly rework are eliminated. The gauge can be used by board makers for final inspection prior to their being ‘stuffed’ with electronic components. It can also be used by incoming inspection departments to check that incoming boards are up to specification.
