Abstract

By using an alkyd paint incorporating Dow Corning's Z‐6018 silicone resin modifier, a fertilizer company expects to make substantial savings in the annual cost of protecting ultra cold storage tanks. This is because a silicone‐alkyd paint lasts twice as long as an alternative epoxy, alkyd or polyurethane protective coating.
