Abstract
PUBLISHED some 3½ years afterwards, the report on the accident to Boeing 737–236 at Manchester Airport in August, 1985 contains 31 safety recommendations. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has said that it wholly accepts 25 of these and partly accepts the remainder. Many issues are addressed in the report, and in its immediate aftermath much prompter mandatory actions are demanded in some quarters.
