Extraordinary Precision for NASA

Abstract

SPACE shuttle missions, due to the critical nature of the operations and the variables that can affect them, require extraordinary precision in the shuttles themselves and in the payloads that they carry. Consequently, machining specifications for the vehicles and the payloads demand high tolerances.
