Abstract

Brief Particulars of Recently Introduced Materials likely to have Aircraft, Missile or Space Vehicle Applications. The possibility of oil starvation in engine lubricating systems during negatives conditions is prevented in certain military aircraft by a new type syphon moulded of Viton fluoroclastomer. This suction device is highly flexible, convoluted hose flanged on one end for mounting within the lubricating oil reservoir. It is weighted on its free end with a stainless steel insert so that, regardless of aircraft attitude, the pendulum‐like hose will always have its suction submerged.
