Abstract
Relates to retractable undercarriages in which the part which is directly connected to the wheel slides in a guide assembly. The part 1 carrying offset the wheel 2, shown in retracted position, FIG 3, is secured to the tube 3 sliding in guide‐assembly 4 above which, when the undercarriage is in the lowered position, is a fixed vertical tube 7 into which the upper end of the tube 3 moves when the shock absorbers 9, 10 arranged parallel to tube 3 are compressed into the guide‐assembly 4. Retraction is effected by jack 26 acting on strut 24, which is integral with guide 4 and is pivoted at 25. Pairs of pivoted links connect wheel‐carrying part 1 to the guide 4.
