Abstract

THE Committee appointed by the British Secretary of State for Air a year ago to inquire into and make recommendations on the control exercised by the State over private flying has reported. Its general conclusions and recommendations are printed on another page of this issue. The Secretary of State for Air has taken the unusual course of embodying at the beginning of the Report a commentary on the Committee's findings and the decision he has arrived at in connection with each of the recommendations. For convenience, we have printed the decision in each case immediately after the recommendation to which it relates.
