Abstract
A JIG is a device used to ensure that all the members of a batch of articles are alike. In its simplest form, it is known as a template; which, however, only ensures uniformity so long as each article is accurately made to the shape of the template, the accuracy depending to a considerable extent on the skill of the operator.
