A New Risk Management Tool For Banks

Abstract

Capital adequacy appraisal has received growing emphasis as a central problem in modern bank risk management. Over the past decade significant UK bank management resources have been devoted to this problem; in the USA capital adequacy has been an important issue since the widespread banking collapse of the Great Depression.
