Abstract

Xworld is a good communications package that is most suitable for users interested in sending and receiving binary files, and to a lesser degree text files, while interacting with a limited number of remote hosts. The package carries out file transfer tasks efficiently and quickly, allowing telecommunications costs to be reduced in some cases, but a copy of the package must be installed both at the user and the host computer. Added features, such as word and background processing, add to the value of the package.
