PRODUCTS and PROCESSES: PROVIDING INDUSTRY WITH THE MEANS TO COMBAT CORROSION

Abstract

No Degreasing Prior to Phosphating. One of the advantages of Fospray method of spray phosphating is that no preliminary wiping down with grease solvents is needed. The plant required to operate this new method consists of four sections: Fospray, water rinse, passivation rinse, and dry. Hellermann Ltd., the manufacturers, claim the method uses less water, less heat and requires spray tunnels to be approximately half the length necessary with conventional solutions.
