Introduction to Corrosion Measurement Techniques
Abstract
Until recently the measurement of corrosion was limited to methods that were time consuming, required special skills, did not permit evaluation of inhibitors, process variables, or materials in a reasonable time, and, in general, left much to be desired where knowledge of corrosive effects was important. Magna, through its Instrument and Control Division, has developed a series of electronic instruments that conveniently measure corrosion in virtually any imaginable environment. The following discussion outlines some techniques used to study and measure corrosion.
