Video — its uses and limitations
Abstract
Video and its associated technology is becoming increasingly prominent in every aspect of commercial and domestic life. The proliferation of hardware is almost as bewildering as the number of applications that the media seeks to serve. Indeed, providing one has the imagination or can conceive of any communication requirement or visual documentary record, it is possible that video can provide a quicker and more economical and efficient solution than other established methods of communication. It is understandable, therefore, that the surveying profession should look towards this technology as a beneficial means of improving the communication of essential information within their profession.
