New Internet service links PCB Buyers and suppliers
Keywords PCB Quotes, Internet, Printed circuit boards
An Internet service, which gives printed circuit board manufacturers and assemblers direct access to potential new customers, has just been launched.
The site - www.pcbquotes.co.uk - provides a direct link between companies in need of printed circuit boards and assembly and those who can supply them. Buyers put their potential order onto a comprehensive on-screen form. These job details are then sent immediately by e-mail to pre-screened suppliers - and only to those capable of doing the work. Buyers will get quotes for the work direct from manufacturers or assemblers and within the time they specify.
Those quotes can be compared confidently with each other as suppliers are given prices on exactly the same specifications.
Suppliers can only see the jobs on offer by subscribing to PCB Quotes. Once a member, suppliers can quote for the many jobs offered to the Web site by buyers throughout the country, from Europe and, potentially, from the rest of the world. The service is quick, and is free to buyers. There is no commission on orders placed .
John Bradford, managing director of PCB Quotes, is confident that users will quickly see the advantages of this new service. He said, "It saves considerable time and money. Not only do you not need to talk to the individual suppliers, the quotes only come from suppliers who can do the job. Our service will drive customers to suppliers, a better use of time than looking themselves".
"Amongst the advantages for buyers is the fact that they can be assured of quick responses from quality-checked suppliers, eager to do business, with whom they can build long-term relationships if they wish".
