Meggitt's MAGIC selected on American Utilicraft Corp's first 'FF1080-200' order

American Utilicraft Corporation of Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA, recently announced that its launch order for 25 FF1 080-200 aircraft, plus 25 options, will include Meggitt Avionics' new Generation Integrated Cockpit - MAGIC Electronic Flight Instrument System (EFIS).
The design of the newly designated "FF1080-200" high wing twin-engine turboprop is optimised for freight operations. Capable of loading and transporting up to six LD-3 containers, utilising standard airport freight handling equipment. This new aircraft has been specifically designed to efficiently move containerised freight from intercontinental carriers to regional airport destinations, thereby avoiding lengthy and costly ground delays.
Meggitt Avionics, Inc, part of the Meggitt Aerospace Systems Group, has been selected as a major partner in the development and production program on the ''FF1080-200,'' based on its proven ability to provide state-of-the-art flightdeck and airframe systems. Meggitt will supply left and right seat MAGIC Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS), MAGCO Engine Instrument Display Systems (EIDS), Secondary Flight Display Systems (SFDS), Digital Autopilots, engine fire detection systems, and fuel quantity gauging systems.
The new "FF1 080-200," will also be equipped with Nav/Comm integration; EIDS with exceedance monitoring and. engine condition trend monitoring (ECTM); Digital Autopilot; SFDS for three-in- one standby presentation that matches Primary Flight Display and Integrated Capacitance type fuel quantity gauging.
