TufShield 2000 is said to be particularly valuable for coating applications in the bulk vessel and materials handling industries.

"There are several thousand rail wagons, for example, in use in Britain that are subject to heavy wear and hang-up", says Bernard Baker, sales director for Resin Systems Limited. "We are confident TufShield 2000 can help solve these problems."

Uses in the sewerage and waste water industries have also been identified, such as the lining of concrete sewage pipes and filtration tanks plus overcoming the longstanding problem of leakage and chemical erosion. Secondary containment has been subject to further EC regulations especially where liquids could filter into water courses.

Within the power industry, the water wear to cooling towers is considerable and where there are tight parameters for shutdowns TufShield 2000's fast cure time will be invaluable in this market.

TufShield 2000 has been tested on bus flooring. Currently there are problems with rotting of the sub floor due to difficulties in sealing the sheet type flooring material presently employed. The spray applied TufShield 2000 reportedly overcomes this problem and, in addition, dramatically reduces the time taken to lay flooring to approximately one hour.

Uses

Coating concrete and steel tanks; silos and pipes; truck bed, roofs and undercarriages; ponds, lagoons, reservoirs and drainage; tunnels; replacement or repair of failed sheet membrane liners; sewage farms; liners for the vessel and bulk container industries.

Earth containment lining used with or without geotextile fabric; tank lining for primary and secondary containment; coating inside silos for containment of coal, cement, chemicals, etc.

Polystyrene and other types of foamed material; asbestos and lead paint; membrane covering used with geotextile fabrics to encapsulate contaminates in landfill sites; macro encapsulation for hazardous debris and rubble.
