Abstract

On fully relaxed jersey, its construction is the thickest, its washing shrinkage is zero, and it has the characteristics that its density and weight per square metre are the largest if yarn size is the same. In the condition of specific technological process and within the specified limits of yarn tex, the weight per square mitre of fully relaxed pure cotton jersey is in linear connexion with yarntex. These conclusions can be used in the design of pure cotton jersey and the control of washing shrinkage.
