Abstract
Purpose
This article aims to describe a curatorial role for libraries regarding data and other digital objects supplemental to published papers.
Design/methodology/approach
The article focuses on an undergraduate project that incorporates a data management component as part of a larger protocol.
Findings
The article finds that instructors value partnering with librarians, especially in cases where digital object description and management are required.
Originality/value
The article provides a case study of a faculty/librarian collaboration that supports pedagogical and data management principles.
