Strategic boundary management: it's a matter of perspective
Abstract
Investigates views on boundary management — in particular managing relationships across boundaries — which is not as yet a prominent area of either academic or management interest. Uses a figure for further explanation. Chronicles some of the options which management has available to it. Looks at internal boundaries that are an integral part of the equation. Concludes thinking on the subject is fragmented and perhaps more challenging — perhaps a question remains over who will make boundary management a management concern.
