The Ergonomic Office — Fad or Fiction? The Facts
Abstract
In the past British management has shown little interest in the working environment. Explains why this must change for social and economic reasons. Defines ergonomics in the office and describes the inadequacies of most office equipment, going on to discuss ways in which these faults can be rectified, for example multi‐task systems, accommodating individual and group work needs, the need to move around in the office and saving space. Concludes by explaining how many businesses are beginning to look to ergonomics owing to Government policy, Euro‐influence and technological advances.
