Abstract

Examines how story‐telling was used at the open space conference to explore how current troubling situations faced by management developers could be used to provide lessons for their future. Looks at some of the concerns of management developers and then moves to explain why story‐telling can be an important and creative process to bring such concerns to the surface in a problem management environment. Reports on how story‐telling was used at the conference and provides an example of a story that was told. Draws some conclusions from the process.
