Developments in computer‐based information systems
Abstract
Suggests that although many US companies have made extensive human and financial resource investments in keeping ahead in technology, these investments are generally not justified by the return. Argues that each company must closely assess its requirements and goals for the future. Describes the benefits of computer integration for some companies that have introduced it. Identifies the steps other companies should take to achieve similar success.
