Good Health for All: A Challenge for the 1990s
Abstract
Notes the challenges currently faced by the NHS and specifically the health goals outlined in Health of the Nation. Stresses the importance of national policy and strategy development as a means of recognizing the interâconnectedness of services and policies. Cites a number of examples exemplifying the way in which a wide variety of agencies and organizations are related and impinge on health and health care. These examples include transport, child benefit and homelessness among others. Stresses the importance of stabilizing a system exposed to substantial and continuous change.
