Maintenance and restoration of concrete buildings
Abstract
Explains some practical problems that have been encountered in the specification and repair of concrete buildings and suggests that maintenance should be preplanned rather than commenced after signs of deterioration occur. Describes the information which should be obtained from a condition survey and discusses construction features which require special investigation. Outlines the basic methods of setting up a contract and how to carry it out. Sets out some of the problems associated with carrying out noisy and potentially messy repairs to occupied buildings.
