What Happened to the History of Education? The British Attitude to Business Education
226
Abstract
The author′s study of the history of education leads him to the conclusion that current educational policy is taking the same road as Victorian policy. Then, as now, there was an obsession with national economic performance, but it is claimed that the restructuring of state education pays only lip service to it. The divisive nature of the British education system is contrasted with that of Germany and Japan.
