International Paint’s new Intertherm 898 CSA

International Paint has introduced Intertherm 898 CSA, a two component cold spray aluminum coating system designed to help steel fabricators protect piping from corrosion and a wide-range of temperatures with a single coating solution.

The metallic flake pigmented coating is suited for new pipe fabricaton because of its flexibility in offering protection in temperature scenarios ranging from −265 to 1,050°F, effectively eliminating the complex, time-consuming and costly task of specifying different paint systems when coating high volumes of insulated and uninsulated pipes.

Intertherm 898 CSA’s patented resin-based, single coat, high-build system also offers protection against corrosion under insulation (CUI) and can be applied using standard spray techniques and equipment. The formulation cures at ambient temperatures, thereby removing the need for stoving, as re-quired by some CUI systems.
