Two opportunities for European travel are being offered for the summer:

The Goethe-Institut is organising a study tour to Germany for middle and senior management academic librarians, focussing on the topic of "Academic libraries and new media ­ buildings, design and organisation" and exploring possibilities for international co-operation. The tour will include Munich, Goettingen and Halle, and the National Library of Germany in Frankfurt, and will take place between 28 June and 4 July 1998.

The Career Development Group (formerly AAL) is offering a study tour to Prague, hosted by the Czech Library Association, to take place between 6 and 13 September 1998. There will be organised visits, a chance to exchange experiences with Czech colleagues, and additional excursions.
