Two opportunities for European travel are being offered for the summer:
The Goethe-Institut is organising a study tour to Germany for middle and senior management academic librarians, focussing on the topic of "Academic libraries and new media buildings, design and organisation" and exploring possibilities for international co-operation. The tour will include Munich, Goettingen and Halle, and the National Library of Germany in Frankfurt, and will take place between 28 June and 4 July 1998.

The Career Development Group (formerly AAL) is offering a study tour to Prague, hosted by the Czech Library Association, to take place between 6 and 13 September 1998. There will be organised visits, a chance to exchange experiences with Czech colleagues, and additional excursions.
