SwetsNet is a service offering libraries and their users a single point for accessing and managing all their electronic journals. This service is offered by Swets & Zeitlinger, an international company which works in all areas of development of electronic publishing.
Scandinavian University Press has reached an agreement with Swets to provide access to 45 electronic journals through SwetsNet. Scandinavian University Press is Scandinavia's leading scholarly publisher, publishing over 100 English and Nordic titles, many in the field of medicine. Their marketing manager, Claire Sharp Sundt, said "we are happy to enter an agreement that enables Swets to provide its customer with seamless access to full text articles from ScUP journals".
This agreement takes the number of publishers participating in SwetsNet to 46, representing over 1,800 scholarly and research journals. Albert Prior, publisher relations manager, electronic services at Swets said "we are delighted that Scandinavian University Press has joined the service, and our mutual customers will benefit greatly from the development".
SwetsNet is available via the Internet using the browsers Netscape and Internet Explorer. The full texts are held either on servers at Swets or accessed via SwetsNet on the publisher's own servers.
