AutoTest, Electric Paper (EP)'s automated testing software for the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) qualification, was named as the best "Generic Open Learning Product of the Year" at the World Open Learning Conference and Exhibition (WOLCE) Open Learning Awards.

To win, Electric Paper beat off strong challenges from internationally known companies: VISA, Educational Multimedia Corporation, Wide Learning and Skillsoft.

Electric Paper's Managing Director, Jonny Parkes, commented: "Coming in the wake of the recent endorsement of our products by the University for Industry, this further tangible recognition of the high quality of Electric Paper's learning materials emphasises our position as market leader in the increasingly important field of teaching IT skills".

Recently accredited by the European Computer Driving Licence Foundation for Syllabus 3, AutoTest is already being used by a number of organisations including Akzo Nobel, DHL, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Smithkline Beecham and Jersey Computer Training at Highlands College.

Electric Paper has become a market leader in the provision of electronic courseware in both the UK and Ireland, and has also achieved significant market penetration in South Africa, Canada and Australia.

It is the first company in the world to provide an all-inclusive e-learning solution for ECDL certification with their training and testing products. To date, over 250,000 people have become IT-literate through using Electric Paper's training materials.
