Horizon

Abstract

Any thoughts about Farnborough International 1974 Air Show are now dispelled not least by the enthusiastic participation by all the leading United States aviation companies including Lockheed, McDonnell Douglas, Boeing, General Electric and General Dynamics, United Aircraft, Grumman, RCA and LTC, Sundstrand and Cessna. European companies participating include Fokker VFW, Panavia, Engins Matra, Philips, Saab Scania and Volvo. So far, though, French aviation is displaying no more interest than in 1972 with Thompson CSF as the only company booked so far, a major contrast compared to the major British showing at the Paris Air Show.
