Abstract

THE needs of modern aerial survey work become ever more exacting and it was felt that a high performance aeroplane, specialty designed to suit the particular requirements of the work, was required. The engineers of the Abrams Air Craft Corporation of Lansing, U.S.A., therefore started work on an aeroplane which would incorporate all the features required by the aerial photographic industry. Experienced mapping pilots and operators from the several American companies collaborated on the design. The machine developed has been very successful, and today a separate company has been formed to manufacture it.
