Anti corrosion surface coatings

Abstract

ICL Tech Plastics Ltd of Glasgow — the only BS5750 Part 2 approved trade coater in the UK — have now been associated with corrosion resistant coatings for North Sea applications for more than ten years. In that period, the company, in developing the skills and equipment required by the specifiers in this demanding industry, found it imperative to establish an effective Quality Assurance System, hence the attainment of BS5750. Without tight Quality Assurance procedures built into the preparation and coating, it was found that the integrity of the coating might be suspect and Certificates of Conformity could not be written with confidence.
